Genevieve Simms was born and raised in Newfoundland, a rocky island in the North Atlantic. A desire to go to 'art school' brought her west to study at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After graduating with a BDes majoring in character design, Genevieve participated in a one year guest study program at SVA in NY. Genevieve has been freelancing since 2006 and is currently working and living in Edmonton, Alberta.
A penchant for traditional types of media, Genevieve enjoys the playfulness of working out a picture in paint.
