Kali Ciesemier grew up in the fertile midwestern fields surrounding Chicago, Illinois. Daring to brave the eastern seaboard, she graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Illustration from MICA, the Maryland Institute College of Art. After an interlude working as a videogame concept artist for Big Huge Games, she is now a full-time freelance illustrator and adjunct faculty in the MICA Illustration department.
