Ever since Christmas in Ohio, when the fam and I saw Sherlock Holmes, I’ve been on this 19th century kick. I started drawing Spring Heeled Jack, a kind of English urban legend. He comes from hell and breathes blue flame, or he’s a bored aristocrat playing pranks, or a bunch of them…Anyway, he accosts young women in alleys and clears garden walls in a single bound. This is a drawing of him that I’ve been playing with, though not a final draft.
Hey, anyone who knows Guy Ritchie—ask him where Holmes’ 7% solution was at during the film. Eccentric geniuses are nothing without their addictions.
