Sketch 2

This was an assignment to illustrate a keenly reviewed book about silence written by Sara Maitland for The New York Times. Sara surrounds herself with nothingness and examines the importance of silence and how it affects her brain. I turned the music down for this one and tapped into the constant din of my computer. To feel a deep connectivity with silence and the mind is something Sara and I have in common. A few sketches and some discussion later, Nicholas Blechman and myself had arrived at our final.
