Lisel grew up in a hunting cabin in Northern California complete with a chicken coop, tractor and a small mountain. Being the daughter of a photographer, she strives to create images with a degree of reality, but can't seem to resist focusing on the natural oddities that exist at second glance in everyday life.
After graduating with a BFA from California College of the Arts, Lisel exchanged West for East, moving to New York City where she currently resides as a freelance illustrator, vigorously devoted to creating new images. She received her MFA from School of Visual Arts.
